Classic shape made of metallic gold leather, metallic gold swoosh, light yellow canvas toebox, white/clear sole unit and with a lemon inner lining. Nike Sportswear chose to remix Nike materials within the Nike Sportswear collection with legendary French textile designer Paule Marrot Editions. Once loved by the British royal family and Jackie Kennedy, Paule Marrot Editions has been creating memorable designs since 1920. Nike Sportswear’s footwear designers integrated Paule Marrot’s “Aurore” to inspire the Butterflies print on the new “Skinny” Dunks. Paule Marrot’s textiles were heavily influenced by Marrot’s early studies as a painter under impressionists such as Pierre-August Renoir, Raoul Dufy and Maurice Denis.

The Nike Terminator high-top was introduced in 1985, and was distinguished from the similar Nike Dunk by its unusual logo - NIKE in large letters across the heel of the shoe. Colorways included white with brown, yellow, and orange trim, white with gray trim, and, most commonly, the Georgetown Hoyas’ colors of gray and dark blue. Some were even specifically made for the Georgetown fan market with “Hoyas” on the heel instead of “Nike.” The Terminator also featured a lace loop on the heel to facilitate wrapping the laces around the shoe; this and the logo were styles shared by other basketball shoes of the time. The Nike Vandal basketball shoe came out in the mid 80´s - very close in design to the Air Force 1 at a time when the Air Force 1 was nearly impossible to find. They were one of the first all nylon upper high top basketball sneakers which meant they were not only more breathable than traditional leathers but also a good deal lighter. Check that out!
